We start by hand-selecting premium coffees from small artisan roasters around the country. Then we gather up a group of industry experts and taste dozens of coffees. After some intense debates, only our absolute favorites make it into your monthly tasting box.

Our roasters lead the industry in pursuing closer relationships with coffee growers and a deeper understanding about coffee ecosystems and economies. While our selection changes each month, you can expect a focus on sustainability, including relationship coffee, direct trade, fair trade, organic, Rainforest Alliance and other sustainabilty programs.
